Spoil Pile Technical Terms
Spoil Pile: A bank, mound, or other artificial accumulation composed of spoil; e.g., an embankment of earthy material removed from a ditch and deposited alongside it. Compare – dredge spoil bank. (b) A pile of refuse material from an excavation or mining operation; e.g., a pile of dirt removed from, and stacked at the surface of a mine in a conical heap or in layers. SW & GG
